CODE #5 : CALL FOR COVER

Code Magazine lance un concours pour la réalisation graphique de la couverture de sa prochaine édition, prévue pour septembre 2007. Le concours est ouvert aux jeunes graphistes. Les participants doivent soumettre une proposition cohérente avec les anciennes couvertures déjà publiées et correspondant à la thématique abordée par ce cinquième numéro, soit la chair, sous ses diverses manifestations: le corps (son fonctionnement interne et son apparence externe), le genre, la sexualité et l'identité. Le gagnant verra son projet imprimé sur les 5000 exemplaires de Code, distribués en Belgique, en France, en Suisse et également téléchargeable sur Internet.
Date limite de remise des propositions: 31 juillet 2007
Format : H250mm x W170mm (+5mm coupe)/CMYK ou BW
L'équipe de Code se réserve le droit d'intégrer la cartouche avec le logo (http://www.codefrisko.be/codemagazine/code_cartouche5.eps) sur la couverture, en collaboration avec le gagnant, si cet ajout s'avère nécessaire selon l'équipe.
Code se réserve également le droit de ne pas choisir de gagnant si aucune des propositions ne convient à l'équipe du magazine.

Code Magazine lanceert een wedstrijd voor het grafisch ontwerp van de cover van zijn volgende editie, voorzien voor september 2007. De wedstrijd richt zich tot jonge grafisten en studenten van Belgische kunstscholen. Het ingediende voorstel moet coherent zijn met de vorige, reeds gepubliceerde covers en moet beantwoorden aan het thema dat in deze vijfde editie wordt aangesneden, nl. 'vlees' en dit in de breedste zin van het woord: het lichaam (de interne werking en uiterlijke verschijning), het geslacht, sexualiteit en identiteit. De winnende cover zal gepubliceerd worden op de 5000 exemplaren van Code, dat in België, Frankrijk en Zwitserland wordt verdeeld en online beschikbaar is.
Uiterste inzenddatum: 31 juli 2007
Formaat: H250mm x W170mm (+5mm snits)/CMYK of BW
Het Code team behoudt het recht om in samenwerking met de winnaar het logo (http://www.codefrisko.be/codemagazine/code_cartouche5.eps) in de cover te integreren, enkel als het team dit nodig acht.
Code behoudt eveneens het recht om geen winnaar te kiezen als geen enkel voorstel geschikt blijkt te zijn.

Code Magazine launches a contest for the graphic design of the cover for its Autumn issue, to be published in September 2007. The contest is opened to young graphic designers. The participants shall submit a proposal corresponding to the theme explored by the forthcoming issue of the magazine, the flesh, under its diverse manifestations: the body (its internal functioning as well as its exterior appearance), gender, sexuality and identity. The winning proposal will be printed on the cover of the 5000 copies of Code, which are distributed in Belgium, France, Switzerland and downloadable online.
Deadline for the proposals: 31st of July 2007
Format: H250mm x W170mm (+5mm bleed)/CMYK ou BW
The Code team reserves the right to insert the logo (http://www.codefrisko.be/codemagazine/code_cartouche5.eps) on the cover in collaboration with the winner, if it considers this addition necessary.
The Code team also reserves the right not to elect a winner if none of the received proposals satisfy the team of the magazine.
